Daryl Dixon is one of the main protagonists and survivors of the zombie apocalypse in AMC's The Walking Dead. He is the younger brother to Merle Dixon and makes his debut appearance in "Tell It to the Frogs". Daryl is an expert at hunting, tracking, and navigating. Due to his survival skills, Rick Grimes values him as an important member of the group. Following the deaths of Ed and Sophia Peletier, Daryl has developed a close bond with fellow survivor Carol Peletier. He later formed a brief bond with fellow survivor Beth Greene.

        Dari judul diatas, mengapa begitu? Ya, karena liriknya menggambarkan sebuah keluarga dengan suasana rumah yang penuh dengan pilu, hening, penderitaan, teriakan histeris, dan masih banyak lagi yang bisa dideskripsikan dari lirik tersebut.

          Langsung saja, lirik lagu yang sedang saya bahas disini yaitu lagu dari Smile Empty Soul, Band asal Santa Clarita, California.

          Berjudul The Other Side, secara pribadi, lagu ini telah berhasil menyita perhatian dan minat saya untuk mereviewnya lebih dalam.

Well, sekarang saya akan mencoba mereview secara keseluruhan makna yang tersirat dari dalam lirik lagu tersebut, menurut persepsi saya sendiri.

          Dari lirik tersebut. Penulisnya seperti sedang berusaha menggambarkan suatu hal yang sangat menyiksa batin seseorang, di suatu rumah tempat keluarganya tinggal. Saya menerka bahwa keluarganya sudah tidak harmonis lagi, seperti halnya suami-istri dengan satu anak laki-laki/perempuan (?) yang setiap harinya selalu mendengar orangtuanya bertengkar. Penulis disini seolah-olah bertindak seperti anak dari suami-istri tersebut. Ia lantas ingin melupakan kepedihan keluarganya dan tak ingin memikirkannya untuk saat ini. Ia berharap untuk satu hari saja keluarganya tidak terlibat pertengkaran.

          Selanjutnya, Ia melihat cahaya bersinar dari jendela tetangganya. Ia membayangkan bagaimana rasanya hidup dengan aman dan nyaman di dalam rumah dimana Ia tak akan sendiri. Jadi disini saya dapat menyimpulkan bahwa suasana rumahnya begitu kelam dan suram, selalu tak pernah ada cahaya kehidupan dari dalam rumahnya sehingganya dia merasa iri dengan kehidupan tetangganya. Singkatnya, rumahnya selalu gelap dan dia iri dengan rumah tetangganya yg terang (?) /mungkin listrik rumahnya mati/ /plak/

          Dibagian ini, Ia merasa sangat depresi dengan semua tekanan yang ada di dalam rumahnya. Penulis menggambarkan bahwa jika kita berada di rumah itu, kita akan dapat merasakan ketidaknyamanan dan udara kebencian dalam keluarganya.  Ia sangat tertekan. Ia berusaha mencari seseorang yang mungkin bisa membantunya, Ia ingin mencurahkan segalanya pada orang tersebut. Tak ada harapan lagi di keluarganya. Namun, hanya karena hal itu, ia tak ingin pula keluarganya menyeretnya kedalam penderitaan yang tiada henti. Ia masih ingin melihat masa depannya sendiri.

          Entahlah, bagian ini sulit untuk dijelaskan.. karena masih belum jelas apa yang terjadi pada anak kecil yang digambarkan pada bagian ini. And then he... and then he.... tanpa ada kelanjutannya, tiba-tiba ada suara teriakan histeris dari si vokalis Smile Empty Soul. /Screaming yang epic/ semakin buat penasaran, hmmm.....

CRIMEA CRISIS

           Crimea region, all of a sudden become popular since it’s a center of conflict between Russia and Ukraine. This happened as an impact of President Viktor Yanukovich’s impeachment by Pro-west people in Ukraine.

            First, the president of Russia, Vladimir Putin ordered massive military exercises, involving some 150,000 troops, on Ukraine’s border.

            Pro-Russian separatists, the gunmen, wearing masks and unmarked uniforms, seized government buildings, airports and communication hubs in the region.  Then Russian troops were put on alert to “protect their citizens” in the area.  Crimea’s new Prime Minister—himself a Russian citizen, he has appealed for Russia’s help. It seemed to be a false flag operation.

            A referendum has been scheduled to decide on the region’s status. The Crimeans were asked to consider their choice to join West or Russia through a referendum. Ethnic groups of Crimea are more than 58% Russians, 24% Ukrainians, and the rest are Tatar Crimea.

            During this time, the question of secession was put to a referendum, which resulted in a 96% affirmative vote pro-Russia, but it has been condemned by the UE, USA, and the interim Ukraine government as unconstitutional and thus illegal. Despite international opposition, on 17 March the Crimean parliament declared independence from Ukraine and asked to join the Russian Federation. So, Crimea now is a part of Russia, as the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

            But, it has not done yet. If Putin does annex Crimea, it will surely bring international condemnation and, quite probably, some form of implicit or explicit trade sanctions.  With its weakened economy, that is not something that Russia can easily afford and a downturn can be expected. President Obama held an unscheduled press conference on the events in Crimea yesterday, expressing deep concern and warning Putin that “there will be costs.” But, it seems that Putin doesn’t really care. It appears that Putin feels that he has nothing left to lose.

I don't know why, this song is like having a very deep meaning.
PERFECTO!!!

The reasons why I said that this song is perfect are, from the lyrics, it's so deep and meaningful /so deep even Adele can't roll over here/ /lol/ and the voice is awesome as hell. (:

REVIEW : Paper Walls Song by Yellowcard

First couple times, I didnt really like it that much cuz it seemed so deaf than like fighting, but guys this song is so awesome!

“Paper Walls” as written by william Ryan Key, Sean Michael Wellmanmackin , Longineu Warren Lii Parsons, Peter Michael Mosely, Ryan Michael Mendez.

This is one of the songs on the album with the same title “Paper Walls”.

Actually this song is not come from the newest album, it comes from album in the year 2007, but it's still great! I personally assume that Paper Walls song is the best song on this album, after that, it is “Dear Bobbie”

The lyrics tell us about escaping from pain and dealing with it and how there is still hope for everything.

Well the first part :

There’s Children sing calmly in the beginning and it is very touching---

Let's burn a hole so we can climb out

Of these paper walls and this empty house

Don't listen too close; their words are like guns

With bullets that fly and kill what you've won

 

This lyric is confirmed to mean that the band members have had rough times, symbolically saying there are walls between them. This album was written about the time before they found themselves again, where they burned the walls down and forgave and forgot.

Let's take what hurts and write it all down

On these paper walls in this empty house

And when our ink runs out

We'll burn it to the ground

Sounds like someone desperately needs an escape from hurt/pain..
"in this empty house" makes it seem like it has to do with trouble at home. :p

Well "what hurts" could be anything from criticism to verbal abuse, depending on how the song would relate to you in particular. Then when the ink runs out, that means that you've gotten all your problems out, and when you burn it to the ground, you're kinda getting rid of the memories.
